C.C. O’Harra Stadium/Dunham Field (Rapid City)

O’Harra/Dunham is the home to the Rapid City Central Cobblers and Rapid City Stevens Raiders, as well as the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers. It is one of the few, if not only, multi-tiered drive in stadiums in the country. The stadium is named after former Mines President Cleophas C. O’Harra. O’Harra is credited with sighting the stadium and also with envisioning what is now Dinosaur Park in Rapid City. Clearly, Cleophas was a visionary on many levels.
The field itself (now sporting artificial turf) is named after George and Nancy Dunham, donors and engineering alumni from the School of Mines.
Probably the most distinctive features of O’Harra/Dunham are the ability of the home team fans to adjust car lights and horns so as to bedevil the visiting team. Often Sioux Falls fans complain about this unfair home field advantage for the Rapid City teams.
RANDY SCHLEUSENER
1976 Alumnus Randy Schleusener (now a Physician in Rapid City) was an All American at the University of Nebraska, and is best known for the Cornhusker play called the fumblerooskie. Schleusener is in the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame
DAVE COLLINS
Dave Collins, a member of the SD Sports Hall of Fame, played quarterback for the Raiders before graduating in 1971 and beginning his pro baseball career. Collins was inducted into the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame. For a more complete sports history for Collins: click here

MICK WYSUPH
Mick Wysuph is a member of the SD Football Coaches Hall of Fame. Wysuph coached the Raiders from 1984-2000 and led the Raiders to the state championship in 1987, beating SF Washington 3-0.
PAUL CHYTKA
Paul Chytka was an all state player for the Raiders in 1978 and 1979. In 1980 and 1981 Chytka was an all SDIC player for the SD School of Mines and then transferred to the University of Wyoming where he was an all WAC player in 1984.
