Season Preview

Coach Hess gave SDSB the following season preview information:

We will be heading into the 2011-2012 season with a lot of new faces.  We lost 3 starters from last season 17-5 season.

We will be very young this season with only 1 sr. out for basketball.

Krysta Kjerstad 5'9 sr will be our leader on and off the floor, she will be expected to carry more of the offensive load for us this season. Autumn Schulz 5'8 jr. has had some big games the last few seasons for us and will be looked to as our force on the inside. Sadie O'Rourke 5'6 so.  Sadie is a very active player at both ends of the court.  Sadie will be looked to, to take on a more active role on the offensive end. Mazzee Pauley 5'7 jr., Mazzee has excellent work ethic and should be fighting for quality varsity time. Bailey Lytle  5'5 jr., she must continue to improve to play a major role for the Eagles this season. Elsie Fortune 5'9 jr., she is a very hard worker and is expected to play a key role in Wall inside game.  Elsie has made significant improvement in her game over the last 2 seasons. Kaitlin Schrieber 5'8 so.  has good skills and will be counted on to play an important role for us this season. Carlee Johnston 5'7 fr.  Very athletic ball player with alot of energy and will give the Lady Eagles a much need spark at times. Emily Lynn 5'5 fr.  is a quick guard who is energetic and very coachable. Tayha Huether 5'6 fr.  is a very hard worker, she loves to learn, handles the ball very well and is a good defensive player..

Kadoka will have a very solid team this yr with a lot of experience back from a state tourney team a yr ago.

Edgemont will be very good team with 2 very good ball players.
