Coach Determan gave SDSB the following season information:
What is your team outlook for 2011-2012?
We will be relatively young and inexperienced while returning only one starter, Nolyn Mikkelsen. We will rely on his experience to help bring along a group of players who saw relatively little varsity action last year. Last year’s sixth man, Jaden Bartling, also looks to step in at point guard and run the show for us. All of our top reserves return to compete for a spot in the starting lineup. Our success will depend on how well and how quickly we gel as a unit along with how everyone fills and accepts their roles. We have a good group of freshmen coming into camp this year that will push several upperclassmen throughout the year, possibly getting some minutes as the season progresses.
Which of your players do you expect to have the most "impact" this year?
Nolyn Mikkelsen 6'6" Sr. Forward and Jaden Bartling 5'11" Jr. Guard
Which teams will be your toughest competition?
Winner, Chamberlain
Which new players do you anticipate on your 2011-2012 roster?
Spencer Curtis-6'1 Sr Forward, Dylan Voigt 5'11" Sr. Guard, Jonny Combs 6'3" Jr Center, Andrew Taggart 6'3" So. Forward, Sam Voigt 6'0" So Forward
