    Courts of Dreams: Custer Armory

I respectfully nominate the Custer Armory for consideration for the Courts of Dreams competition. The Armory is a forbidding place to play for Wildcat opponents, as the STM Cavaliers can attest.

The Armory is such that teams feel that the crowd is hovering on top of them, and the Custer fans utilize this intimacy to the Cats advantage.  Similarly, the acoustics are such that if the big old drum is banging it seems like it is right in your ear at all times.

Other distinguishing features of the Custer Armory are the banners and individual record boards.  Although sports other than boys basketball are represented, the stellar career of Larry Luitjens during his tenure at Custer are almost overwhelming to opponents.

    I love the Custer Armory!

Is the Corn Palace eligible? Mostly for its Madison Square Garden like mecca of Basketball in South Dakota....

Sure post something on the "Palace."
